Dear Meat Eaters.
I get it — I really do.
There’s nothing quite like meat; the salty tang of bacon, the rich texture of steak, the satisfaction of sinking your teeth into a juicy hot dog… I understand, because I’ve been there too.
I wasn’t always plant-based. Just like you, I ate animals and their many products, from burgers to eggs to cheese. It was an integral part of my daily diet, and even now, I can say I enjoyed it.
But here’s the thing:
Once you make the switch to an animal-free diet, you wonder what you ever saw in these products, and how you could have been fooled for so long.
It can seem like such a big step, to give up something you enjoy and something that nourishes you, but once you walk through the door you’ll only wish you hadn’t done it sooner.
As meat-eaters, we are told we need meat for protein, that it is good for us, part of a balanced diet and what we were designed to eat, but none of this is true. The animals we eat get their protein from plants, so do elephants, gorillas, horses and many animals we consider powerful. Leading studies show that meat is directly responsible for increased cancer…
